If there’s one type of game that all families want to enjoy, that’s something competitive and fun. It is a delightful and fun experience to compete against your family and share the joy of racing against them in front of your PC or console. That’s what makes Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed so impressive, the fact that the game shows a nice, exciting set of game moments and in the end, it can lead to some extraordinary moments for the entire family.

Gameplay
At its core, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is a kart racer. So, you choose one of the many Sega-related characters in the game such as Sonic or Knuckles, then pick either the championship or regular play. You can easily compete in single player and unlock maps as you see fit.
An interesting thing in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is that it manages to deliver some really exciting and fun levels. There are multiple secrets in each level, and as a whole, there’s always something new and interesting to discover. Aside from that, you can also play cooperative or competitive, and you also have immediate access to online play as well.
Just like any other kart game like this, the attention to detail and learning the map is very important. The game does a very good job when it comes to adding various boosts and explosives on the map too. Those can easily offer a plethora of exciting moments for all players, and they do spruce up the gameplay.
Obviously, the game is insanely fast, and the gameplay can be rather hectic. But despite that, it doesn’t get boring since people can always customize their play by choosing new characters. Each new character you unlock will give you various benefits and downsides. Adapting those to the way you play can lead to your greatest results, in the end, that’s for sure.

Difficulty
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed looks great, but the reality is that it can be a difficult game. The AI is very demanding and challenging, it can be fun to play against it, but even on Normal, it can be hard. As you go through the more challenging difficulty levels, you will note that this does end up being quite a test in the end.
Drifting is exciting to do even in the 100th race, and the campaign is long. There are some specific cups too, in case you want to test your gameplay experience and just enjoy everything as much as you can.

Graphics and sounds
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed looks amazing, and despite being launched in 2013, it does hold up very well even today. Aside from that, the music is sublime, and everything from the character to level design is second to none. They did a very good job with the game as a whole, and you are bound to enjoy the sheer amount of value and fun shown here.
Overall, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is a pleasant game for the entire family. The characters are cute, and the experience is one that can get pretty addicting, just because the game is so well done. You should consider checking it out, as the game is one of the most interesting racing titles for the entire family!
